I’m so excited to be apart of this years Suit Up For Summer tour! I just LOVE to sew swim and swimsuit season is a fun time in my house. My girls live in them all summer long.
These are the fabrics that I ended up picking when it came time to pick the material. Believe me, it was a hard decision.
What better way to make a swimsuit with Raspberry creek swim material? We have at least 2 swimsuits made out of their fabric each year. The colors are bright and vibrant, the material is not too thick, but just the right amount! The hardest part is trying to find the right design for your project.
(The fabric is very easy to work with in my honest opinion.)
For the neon cactus one piece swim suit, I used my own pattern that I drafted for my daughter. She would rather have a one piece to wear. She saw one similar on a shop online and asked if I can make her one. Told her no problem. So we went to the computer and started to draw it out.
The pink is also from the shop, but when it was shipped it didn’t list the specific color.
Next for the colorful animal print and the ombré two piece! I used Abernathy from Lil Luxe Collection. My youngest loves two pieces, as she doesn’t like tight things on her belly! She was the one that told me what she wanted for the top and then for the bottoms. These prints when we saw them just were in her personality.
I think I have enough that I can sew them both another item. Then they can mix and match their pieces.
There is a print for every personality out there. I’m loving the calming neutrals this season.
Oh and don’t forget your swim lining!!!
Now we just sit and wait for the warm weather to get here. Patiently. 🙂
Thank you to Raspberry Creek for this awesome tour. I can’t wait to see what everyone else sews up.
