One of the many Facebook groups I belong to, this one is going to challenge me. 52 week sewing challenge, they have certain themes per week or you can go rouge and sew something else.
I will be adding the weeks as I go, hoping to have all 52 here when I’m done.
Week 1: Sew something warm/cozy- I decided to whip up the
Week 2: Sew something from the last fabric purchase- I used my wonderful watercolor panels from Wanderlust Custom Designs, and using the Hideaway Hoodie pattern from Lil Luxe Collection. My girls just love this hoodie. I even added some iron on jewels to the panel to give it and extra touch
Week 3: Sew something to make sewing easier- This was really a challenge for me. So I decided to tidy up my sewing space (spare bedroom), to make it easier to sew. I still need a few things to get organized, but I think its all coming together nicely! The big plus is all my patterns and fabric are put away.
Week 4: Sew something for a boy- Well, I just lost track of time on this one.
Week 5: Sew something from a recent pattern purchase- The Wildflower Kimono from Striped Swallow Designs Love everything about this. I know one thing my girls are going to be ready for spring and summer in no time 🙂

Week 7: Sew something with Hearts- I used some Art gallery fabric for my Hearts. Using the pattern Wren from Modkid. Love this style knit on bodice and woven for crop top and skirt. Aff Link
Week 8: Sew something Upcycled- I have been saving this maternity shirt for awhile now wanting to make something out of it. This week gave me the motivation to do it. The halter is from Winter Wear Designs (Aff Link) link for halter
Week 9 Sew something with Buttons- I sewed Trillium a boho inspired top or Maxi, I ended up sewing the top with scraps that I had. Everything went together beautifully. You can currently get this pattern through an e-zine called One Thimble.
Week 10 Sew something Color Blocked- I finally sewed up the City Girl Romper from Lil Luxe Collection, I used up scraps that I had lying around and Im so happy with the results from this one. I’m really getting into the scrap busting thing. Oh and yeah I put in pockets on this
Week 11: Sew something Green- I decided to play along with this seasons Run and Play. This weeks was the Seven wonders of the world and I choose to use inspiration from the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, and oh my was this a lot of fun! Full blog article found here
