A pinspiration again! Saw a cold shoulder sleeve detail on Pinterest, instantly thought about using the Metropolitan from Lil Luxe Collection.
Go grab your copy of the Metro, and print out

the size you will need, adjust bodice if needed. To modify the sleeve for the gathering I added and 1″ to the bottom and non fold side of the pattern piece then slanted up to the corner. See pic. A.
Follow the tutorial in full. When you are finished with the top or dress you will then need to cut 2 straps. I made mine 1.5″x 3.5″ .
To make the strap you will want to fold in half lengthwise and press, then unfold and fold the edges to the previous fold line then press, the fold in half again and press. Pictures b,c,d, and e
Now you will sew along the edge with 1/8″ away from edge. Picture F
You will then want to grab you completed garment and gather the center of the sleeve and add your strap as in the pictures below.
Then go to your sewing machine, I use my foot as a guide, with your foot down close to the sleeve sew and back tack the center bow. You will want to cut the excess off then flip the strap so your seam is hidden.
There you go, you have your bow sleeve detail. Cant wait to make more of these come our spring and summer.
