Blog Tour: Button Up Top from Winter Wear Designs

Since we are in fall and the weather is getting cooler, going through my closet looking for things that I can wear I noticed I didn’t have any of my flannels left. Either I didn’t like the plaid any longer or that I just couldn’t fit into them anymore. So I thought to myself well why don’t you just make yourself one using the Button Up Top. So I did!!

Winter Wear designs have great patterns for all shapes. In her directions she puts depending on your shape on how to alter the pattern. I’m totally a pear shape, so I did some shoulder shaping and it fits marvelous. Also, I’m 5’3″ so I cut my pieces on the petite line, maybe next time for a flannel to make it a little longer for a comfy feel.

Instead of the contrasting fabric for the outside of the back yoke I had a little fun with the inside of the shirt. I added some black lace to give a little of femininity.

This shirt was easy to put together, I choose to just serge my seam allowance instead of using french seams. Instructions clear to help you through sewing your shirt. Here are some pictures  of me modeling my finished shirt. Click here or the link above to purchase you pattern to get started.
